PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE.
With a warm heart I welcome you to our revamped website.It was in the year 2000, that the ever growing center of St Shantal English Medium School was planted in the rich virgin soil of Malamukal. Today it stands tall amidst the mighty mountains, both in structure and quality, nurtured by the blessings of the Almighty and nourished by the prayers and collaboration of all it’s well wishers. I must say that it is a dream come true for the sisters of the DSFS, still fresh from the memories of the struggles and difficulties of the initial years. It is a testimony to the fact that everything is possible when God walks along with us. A big thanks to everyone who was and is with us in this long walk.
In the words of St.Francis De Sales, "When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts”. The aim of the school is to provide unmatched qualitative value education: to develop the best that is latent in our children, to encourage the child to explore the unknown and revel in the joy of learning. The 'winners' of the 21st century will be the determined knowledge seekers who possess strong analytical skills, adequate creativity and most necessarily good communication skills, built upon the strong foundation of the basic human values. In this way our children can keep pace with the knowledge explosion coupled with breathtaking advances in technology brought about by globalization.
My message to all parents is to stay connected and involved in this mission of preparing our children for a bright future. On my part I would like to assure you that the school will strive to keep you posted of your child’s progress. I would also be available to give you any eventual clarifications and to listen to your concerns. I want to assure you, that we are together, in this noble task of making our children global citizens and are partners in ensuring the success of every child’s education and well being. I am sure that our vision of students emerging as fine contributing citizens of tomorrow could be materialized with your cooperation and support.
I am happy to see the school growing in excellence, not only in the field of academics and cultural activities, but also in helping the students retain great human values for being matured global citizens with great positive energy.

The quality of education will determine the destiny of the nation. We emphasise on discipline and the moulding of character of our students, through education that allows them to recognize and realize their 'dreams' and skills and to be able to ignite the passion to excel, thereby preparing them for the competitive world outside the classroom.The school is pledged to impart quality education by taking into consideration the overall development of the child. Empowering the child to become a confident adult and a convinced citizen of India is the main task of any school. Envisioned by this aim, St Shantal School offers a curriculum, which strengthens the innate talents and the inborn abilities of a child. Utmost caution is taken to instill the moral, social and religious values.Ample opportunities are provided in the school to mould skilled and competent individuals. Hence a learner is presented with activities both inside and outside the classroom. Co-scholastic activities like participation in clubs, music, dance, yoga, debates and games are encouraged for the holistic development of the children. Use of modern teaching strategies and advanced teaching learning experiences, in an ambience that is yet to be influenced by modernisation has produced a group of youngsters who are ready to face the world.
